Back by popular demand, the 6th Annual Trends Breakfast will offer insight into the challenges, opportunities and trends being seen in the accommodation and food service sectors of the hospitality industry.

We are pleased to welcome back industry leading analysts Robert Carter from the NPD Group and David Larone from PKF Consulting.

RESTAURANTS: Multi-unit restaurant operators face unique issues in 2015, including competition for dining occasions from non-traditional segments and regulatory issues such as menu labeling. But opportunities abound, primarily stemming from evolving consumer demographics, habits and preferences. NPD Group’s Robert Carter presents an update on the industry’s performance, identifying key trends impacting the business in 2015 and beyond, as well as strategies for success in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

NPD is the leading source for trends, performance indicators, and market sizing — with unique information and insight that spans the entire supply chain, from manufacturers to distributors to operators.

HOTELS: During the presentation, David Larone of PKF will speak to the economic and travel factors which will influence the performance of the overall Vancouver Hotel market in 2016. This will include 2016 supply, demand, occupancy, average daily rate and RevPAR projections for the overall market as well as each of the respective sub-markets tracked in their monthly market Trends report.
